Simple Fun Games During Coronavirus Quarantine

We’re living in a strange moment in history. In the face of COVID-19 many of us are withdrawing into our homes. Some of us suddenly have a surplus of time. While leisure might have once seemed like an unachievable goal, it now got everyone around here by a surprise but we respect government’s decision to keep things outright for everyone of us. Right now at many places around the world, many of us are in a position where we are sequestered and desperately seeking new kinds of distraction.

Mobile gaming is much evolved now than ever before and these days, everyone from a kid to the kid’s old grandparents is used to playing smartphone games. While it is advised to maintain social distancing, it really feels a bit odd or boring for someone who is used to being with friends a lot. In these situations, hanging out is probably off the charts but since there are multiplayer games on smartphones, they are the best possible way to spend time with your friends.

There are many excellent games meant for those who don’t play a lot. Some of them are artful, and some of them are weird. Many are sweet and thoughtful. Most of them are engaging and might, perhaps, help to distract you in ways that will help you survive the next month (or longer).

Fun Run 3
Fun Run 3 is an updated version of the game by Dirtybit and they exactly know how to make small interesting multiplayer games. It is a multiplayer game that you can play along with a maximum of four friends at the same time. You get a funny squirrel avatar at the start and you have to make your way running to the finish line overcoming the obstacles and powerups used by other players. You also have daily tasks and rewards which makes the game interesting and addicting with the thirst for the win. You can also form eight members to run simultaneously in arcade mode which is a cracker of a deal.

Animal Rescue 3D
This is a fun free game with many exciting cute animal you can unlock at upgraded levels. It’s a little easy at the same time hard. The hard bit is that you have to get the animals to the other side without getting them under a car, the easy bit is that on the first level the app tells you when to press, and it’s easy to play in the beginning levels. You get to decorate your own farm with few design options after each level too. Have fun!

Dash Adventures
The latest in the Diner Dash franchise is fast paced, funny, and cute. The player is a waitress managing customers, which is more fun than you might think. A good game for those of you looking to feel productive in this unproductive moment.

Minecraft is a virtual sandbox so, aside from the very beginning and core game loop of building shelter and surviving, it can be anything you make it. Seriously, though, the sheer amount of ways you can play with its basic building blocks are staggeringly endless and vast. Aside from the game itself, there’s also a thriving community, from YouTube to forums, with instructions on different things to try, create, and push its boundaries to the limit.

Free Sims Play
A classic that just celebrated two decades of bringing joy to players from all walks of life (especially those who don’t usually play games), The Sims is, as the name suggests, the original life simulator. You create either a single Sim or family and control their daily activities, love lives, careers, and everything in between. You can play in real-time, customize your Sims wardrobes, build their homes, and help them live out their dreams. Complete goals to earn Simoleons (Sims money), expand your Sim Town and pick up rewards along the way. Keep your Sims happy and watch them thrive as you help them live a fun and fulfilled life!

There are hundreds of games out there, regardless of what you choose, remember that there are things to do on our screens beyond refreshing the news and scrolling social media. Online games are not all just violent, gun-filled explosions. Try a few experiences, expand your world, and escape for a while.
