A niche market is a specific area of marketing which has its own particular requirements, customers, and products. It is about tapping into the mindset of people who have a problem they need help with. People who have disposable income to spend on stuff. People who are ravings fans of something, and habitually spend money on it.

Finding an untapped niche market is the first piece of the puzzle. It’s also the most difficult. People always sought to find the secret to a successful relationship and trying to understand the opposite sex has always been a talking point. With more and more of us taking to the internet to find the answers we need, this is a profitable niche market that you should invest your time to research. You could write an e-book that focuses on relationship goals for couples and then sell it in your website or list it at any established eCommerce platform.

The niche selection is a challenging but quite an important task for you when you have an eCommerce store or an informative web presence. When you can niche down small enough, your income starts sooner, you struggle less against big sites with big budgets, and you can later expand when you’re ready.
